To John Keats

ImageOn the death anniversary of my favourite poet, here’s a few lines to him:

“Shed no tear! oh, shed no tear!
The flower will bloom another year.
Adieu, adieu — I fly — adieu!
I vanish in the heaven’s blue,–
Adieu, adieu!”

I truly regret the fact that I was not born his neighbour. Or perhaps it was meant to be this way, so I could read his poetry and be inspired. Here’s to the man who made me fall in love with poetry and with himself.Your name was not “writ in water”, John Keats. There are those who will always remember you.

About keatslover

I'm an avid Keats fan( as is pretty obvious, I'm sure) and a student of English Literature. I love to read and to write and to dance. I'm just an ordinary teen from India who wants a platform to express how she feels about things. In short, I need to get my voice out there. Hope all the readers like what i write. And hope that there are readers.
