Valentine’s day special <3

On valentine’s day, I know what I would want to listen to (apart from The Beatles and Norah Jones, of course)- Disney love songs! The best and the oldest disney movies have the greatest and most touching love songs ever created, whether that love be for someone special, or for the world at large. So here’s a list of the ones I love the best, in no particular order:

1.Can you feel the love tonight( The Lion King)- Nothing can stand for love better than Simba and Nala. I watched this for the first time when I was 2, and I still remember that first time. That’s how great this movie is.

2.A whole new world(Aladdin)- Could anything ever be more magical than a magic carpet ride?Long before Harry Potter arrived on the scene, I already had dreams of a romantic ride on a carpet.

3.Tale as old as time(Beauty and the Beast)- One of the most beautiful love stories ever. And nothing can ruin it. Not even modern adpatations.

4.Something there(Beauty and the Beast)- Yes, this movie is good enough to have two mentions. It deserves it. Discovery of a new  love….how enchanting..

5.Someday my prince will come(Snow White)- Every girl likes to believe that this is true..

6.Someday(Hunchback of Notre-Dame)- A song of love for the world. Makes one hope that one day the world will not be the same, and people like the hunchback will be recognized for the great souls they are.

7.If I never knew you(Pocahontas)- Love is never defeated. Not with “fear and hate”. Another movie I have always loved. True love can ignore all boudaries.

8.You’ll be in my heart(Tarzan)- movie is not one I have watched, but I do love this song.Enjoy it!

9.Bella notte(Lady and the tramp)- Dogs are infinitely cuter than humans could ever be…and that is why this movie is a classic..

10. So this is love(Cinderella)- Love form the time of princes and sweeping gowns, dashing Barons, and yes, Fairy Godmothers. If only we all had one.

11.Baby mine(Dumbo)- mother’s love is second to none. This goes out to all the mothers in the world. You are the most wonderful people ever. Fathers too.:)

12.Kiss the Girl(The Little Mermaid)- Maybe this song doesn’t end very happily, but it is very cute.Sha la la la la la….:D

I guess that’s it. Can’t think of any other songs right now, but I am sure there are many more. And Mulan and Princess and the Frog deserve honourable mentions for brilliant music, but since there aren’t any love songs to speak of, I couldn’t put them in here. Mary Poppins as well.:)

About keatslover

I'm an avid Keats fan( as is pretty obvious, I'm sure) and a student of English Literature. I love to read and to write and to dance. I'm just an ordinary teen from India who wants a platform to express how she feels about things. In short, I need to get my voice out there. Hope all the readers like what i write. And hope that there are readers.
